We upgraded Pichia pastoris by designing and integrating new genetic components to ramp up the production capability of our host.

 

The end result is a platform that can produce high-value bio-molecules much more affordably while still maintaining high quality.

Pichia is known to secrete its products outside of the cell body, which significantly reduces downstream processing costs. We engineered our cells by enhancing their capability to secrete products.

Being a eukaryotic cell, yeast has the ability to create more complex proteins than bacteria. We enhanced this capability by equipping our cells with additional helper proteins (CHAPERONE) to handle such complex tasks even more effectively.
