We are many things—scientists, entrepreneurs, parents, children, trailblazers—but above all, we are human. We firmly believe that sustainability is the only key to ensuring that we give back to our children what we borrowed from them.
Our novel Pichia pastoris biosynthesis technology has already gained recognition from industry leaders, and our process can replace many unsustainable methods of harnessing naturally scarce ingredients without harming the earth.
FOUNDERS
Dr. Tyurin and Mingyang have over 25 years of combined experience in Pichia protein expression and fermentation.
They met through the synthetic biology industry seven years ago and have been partners since. Bringing a unique set of skills from each, the two established Bioboost Synbio with the vision to create a powerful green bio-manufacturing technology to benefit many industry sectors.

THREE YEARS INTO ITS JOURNEY, BIOBOOST HAS ACHIEVED A NUMBER OF PROUD MILESTONES.
Bioboost Synbio was founded with the goal to challenge status quo, to upgrade and to improve. Just before the Christmas in 2020, Bioboost Synbio was born.
We took over a decade of experience working with Pichia pastoris expression system to develop our own technology platform, with the goal to overcome some of long lasting challenges to scale up the Pichia fermentation and to unleash this highly regarded microbe its full potential.
2020
FIRST US PATENT SECURED
In 2022, our innovation to eliminate methanol from Pichia pastoris fermentation process was granted in the USA, a true milestone to demonstrate the novelty and usefulness of our technology. Leveraging on the success, we extended our patent coverage to Canada, China and the EU.
2022
CANADIAN PATENT GRANTED AND FIRST PRODUCT LAUNCH
in the beginning of 2023, Bioboost Synbio received its second patent from Canada, further expanding its IP coverage and value. After two years of R&D, Bioboost currently has 5 high value proteins produced via its novel, no-methanol Pichia biosynthesis platform and is commercializing its first molecule.
